Lately…
I am watching and waiting rather impatiently to harvest my garlic crop.
Making a Jamie Oliver inspired curry paste from scratch.
Feeding our hard working chooks spare greens from the vegetable garden.
Enjoying delicious pork and pumpkins home reared and home grown respectively, by my brother.
Planting seed and practising some writing with Annabelle and George as we prepare for our spring vegetable crop.
Planting out tiny purple broccoli seedlings, raised with love by a good friend.
I am still feeling very new and a little lost in this space but I am on Twitter.

Sounds lovely down your way! 🙂 Planting seeds is so nice, especially when you come out a few mornings later and see the first little shoots….planting out actual seedlings still frightens me a bit, they're so delicate!
Your hens look very happy, and that home grown pork looks great! Pigs are another thing on the list around here…:)

I'm so interested in the fact that your seasons are opposite our's, but you are still now harvesting garlic… is that typically a summer or winter harvest? I signed up for twitter but have yet to use it, I do use instagram though! I'm funny with it all too- still no facebook 🙂

This all looks so lovely Jane! I'm jealous of your garlic crop. We go through so much garlic I'd love to grow some of our own, but sadly our current tiny garden just isn't conducive to growing stuff. One day! Lately I have been making soup and sewing spring dresses and looking forward to warmer weather 🙂

I would be impatient too If I had my own garlic growing out back. There's nothing better than fresh garlic! Your little ones look very sweet. How old are they? I have 2 rambunctious little boys (3 yrs. old & 16 months). They're always keeping me busy 🙂

Totally impatient to get my garlic too. We seem to have an incredible sweet tooth at the moment – (wouldn't have a thing to do with this pending baby in my belly!!) a few pies (pumpkin) and cakes (carrot) coming out of our kitchen… And you have inspired me to get the seeds out and in order ready for the sowing. It's that time again! Hurrah!

your chooks look happy! i can hear them cackling from here. and i forgot to plant garlic this year; but then it rotted in the ground the previous year, so maybe i forgot-on-purpose, to spare the heartache later. as usual, i love seeing how things are so different in broken hill to hobart.

Ooh can't wait to see your garlic crop! I'm about to embark on more new things! Which is why I thought of you – do you recommend a certain brand or retailer of jars for preserving that can be bought online? The elimination diet has taught me that making jam isn't such a scary thing and now I want to try other things to make from scratch like sauces, mayonnaise etc. I hope you are well Jane!

Oh my goodness!!!!! Look at your garlic.
Wow!!! Ours is about half the size still.
Oh for some sun and warmth to give it the growth burst it needs.
